Details of the Artwork

Chorus from Above is a view of the end of the second chorus of Don't Let Me Down showing all the different instrument and vocal parts.

The layout has the Bass notes on the left side and the Treble notes and harmonics on the right. Earlier music is in front with later music in the back. The various parts are portrayed using textures from the musical instruments that produced them.

In this portrait the clouds are shaped by the vocals. John and Paul's parts have been cross sectioned in red lava at the point the song is playing. John's lead vocal is on the left and Paul's higher harmony on the right.

Paul's electric bass part is rendered using textures from the dark fretboard of a Hofner violin electric bass. Electric guitars are rendered with a lighter fretboard from a guitar similar to George's. The keyboard depicts Billy Preston's electric piano parts. The light wood peaks represent Ringo's birch drums he used in the famous rooftop performance of the song in the movie Let It Be. At the front the drums are engulfed in red and yellow flames.
